on Child Success
The Greater Waco Community Education Alliance and Waco ISD are sponsoring a FREE Community Event
on Child Success for parents, grandparents and others invested in youth!
The keynote speaker is longtime counselor and educator Rita Pierson, who will be giving a presentation entitled "Engaging Parents", with helpful tips and strategies on children’s educational success, practical parenting, parent-and-child communication and discipline skills. We will also give attendees the opportunity to win door prizes at the end of the evening!
This community event also includes fun for the kids! We are providing free childcare if you make reservations 24 hours in advance. While you enjoy this event with your community, your child can participate in kid’s Zumba, face painting and storytelling! Don't miss one of the 2 opportunities to attend:
- Monday, June 27 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Columbus Avenue Baptist Church

- Tuesday June 28 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Sacred Heart Catholic Church
2710 Speight Ave. (Across from University High School)
Both presentations will be in English and Spanish.
Supported by the Education Alliance Community Parent Leadership Partners, with representatives from organizations such as the EOAC, Avance and Gear-Up.
